Raffles Singapore Sling Recipe on The White List

So the hot summer evenings have left us in total need of a thirst quencher! As we spend lots of time in Singapore, we wanted to share how you can make your very own Singapore Sling, one that is perfectly refreshing and a great thirst quencher in the hot evenings! The Singapore Sling was created at Raffles Hotel by Hainanese-Chinese bartender, Mr. Ngiam Tong Boon in the early 1900’s. Take a look at our spin on the famous recipe below:

Ingredients:

1 1/2 ounces gin (or less if required)
1/2 ounce cherry heering
1/4 ounce Cointreau liqueur
1/4 ounce benedictine
4 ounces pineapple juice (and even fresh pineapple pieces if you have them)
1/2 ounce lime juice
1/3 ounce grenadine

Directions:

1 Shake all your ingredients together with some crushed ice for around 1 minute.

2 Strain into an ice filled collins glass. Think big Ice cubes for this…

3 Garnish with fresh cherry and slices of pineapple.

4 Sip away to your hearts content!
