Does this sound familiar… The weekend arrives in all its glory, filled with expectations and intentions of making the most of your precious time off? You want to organise some awesome plans; maybe heading to that new whiskey bar with exclusive single malt blends and eating the finest gastronomic delights in the all new underground restaurant with no name. well, Wether you are heading our with bunch of mates, or dressed to impress your date – the weekend is your time to shine and live like a baawwws!
We wanted to bring together our essential weekend guide that will bring your precious few days off to its knees. Here are our top tips to make it fly better than a Canadian Goose:
1 – Plan Your Tipple: The best bars and newest awesome joints are always busy – so plan ahead. If you want to impress your mates or date, book something outta the ordinary. Maybe head to Dirty Burger in Shoreditch, or The Secret Cinema Club for a totally random night! Make sure to make a reservation and if it is a special occasion… mention it!
2 – Try Something New: Like any great weekend… there should be no rules! Don’t feel like you have to fall in line and follow the crowd. If your perfect weekend is wake-boarding followed by quail egg eating, do it! Its your weekend to own!
3 – Book a mouth watering restaurant: The weekend is your time to live like a king, so don’t be afraid to find that new gastronomic experience. It doesn’t have to be expensive, but it should always be something of a treat. Duck & Waffle is a great option for a date, with view all across the city of London – a great way to impress that special person. If your heading to the West end with your mates… try something like Five Guys, the US gourmet burger joint that serves a pretty awesome range of bespoke beers
4 – Dress Like a Gentleman: There is no point in getting your social plans in full swing if you don’t dress well. Dressing well doesn’t have to be an uncomfortable movement into a suit and tie (dad like combo)… think outside the box, for a casual look, pair a pair of skinny jeans by PRPS with a good quality leather shoe. A good leather shoe is worth the investment. We recently got a pair of awesome Goodwin Smith shoes and the craftsmanship is totally bespoke. A good pair of shoes is like your wingman, so make sure you invest in a great pair that compliments your style, looks great and that are in-line with your weekend ethos!
5 – Socialise in new places: Look, there is no need to head down the ‘local’ to get together with your mates. London has some nifty venues that provide an awesome backdrop to start the weekend. Rather than spending your day in a sticky floored hell, head to the cafe bar on the top floor of the Tate Modern. Not only will you be able to socialise in a pretty funky setting you will also be able to educate yourself on the finer things in life. A little Monet, Picasso and Damien Hirst work a treat when conversing with your date 🙂
6 – Be prepared: Like any responsible gentleman: Being prepared is key… and no doubt with such great plans you may need to keep some trusted companions close by 😉
